The USSA’s new national training and education center will open in spring, 2009, providing opportunities for USSA athletes and clubs from around the country. The Center of Excellence became a reality thanks to the generous donations of USSA supporters over the past 10 years to its Legacy Campaign endowment. The USSA’s Chief Financial Officer Mark Lampe, a former national team athlete, talks about the opportunity.

PARK CITY, Utah (July 18) - The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association broke ground Wednesday on its $22.5 million Center of Excellence - “the most significant event in our 102-year history,” according to USSA President and CEO Bill Marolt. Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. said the national training and education center will be “unlike anything else in the world today” as athletes prepare for more Olympic success.
